Matthew Gonzalez

My beautiful angel was born on November 9th, 1993. Matthew was a charming, handsome boy. To say he was beautiful was an understatement, to me he was just beautifully perfect.

He was non-verbal, but he smiled and gazed with his eyes the words lips could not utter. He was love personified. His favorite toy was Barney, the big purple dinosaur. He had almost all the VHS tapes and he always knew when the tape was almost finished. He would always cry so that we would play another. He had us on our toes and we loved it! He also loved his grandparents. His abuelo would the New York Post to him with sounds and faces that would always made him laugh. He loved it. He was a joy and a blessing. It was very difficult let him go and it still is.

Although, Matthew relocated to heaven February 11th, 2004, he was, and still is loved dearly. He will always live on in our hearts. Because of him, life has a different meaning for us, we love harder, forgive sooner, and every day is a gift. I am so proud to have been his mommy and look forward to seeing him again someday. In the meantime, I see his smile in his brother Ethan and feel his presence in every ray of sunshine.

Until we meet again my love!
